From Aresa and in collaboration with the USC, we think that those who have carried out some initiative to improve life in the Galician countryside deserve to be recognized and this is how this award came about in 2000.
And after 20 years, we are deeply grateful for the great reception that the Aresa Award has had among the Galician society, the professionals of the field and the media.
Every year, the assembly hall of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the USC, at the Campus Terra in Lugo, hosts the award ceremony of this Aresa Prize, which is attended by more than 600 people, including farmers, breeders, businessmen, political representatives, university and Galician society.
